Messages

National pro-life groups continue this week to follow the development of “Baby Chris” (see www.BabyChris.org), now 28 weeks old. This project enables people to learn about – and see – the development that every human being undergoes in these first nine months of life. Developmental facts and striking images and video are provided each week, along with a prayer and social media tools.

Developmental Facts
The baby is now 28 weeks old, since fertilization, is 16 inches long and weighs 3 and 1/4 pounds.

The heart has beat over 39 million times!

Breathing motions are getting deeper and lasting longer.

The baby can distinguish between high and low frequency sounds.

Prayers

Prayer is the foundation of all we do in the pro-life movement.

Let me hear your voice

Lord, when we are first able to hear and distinguish sounds,
We are still residing in the womb.
Your Word speaks to us about the importance of ears that hear,
And you give us the privilege in this life of listening to
The proclamation of your Gospel.
The children in the womb are your future disciples,
And you prepare from all eternity the opportunity
For them to say the “Yes” of Faith.
Bless the development of every child.
Strengthen their hearing,
So that at the appointed time,
They may hear the greatest news of human history:
That they have a Savior,
Who died and rose for them,
And in whom they find eternal life,
And his name is Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
